Do you sometimes feel guilty about not setting goals? Have you ever wondered why? What if I told you it's most likely because you don't want to be unconditionally happy... gasp!
Now, experience tells (some of) us that not all goals deliver happiness or satisfaction for long and some, once eventually achieved, can then appear very hollow and probably not even worth the effort expended.
However, there's one goal that stands above all others in my opinion. A goal that many seem to avoid at all costs. It's as much a personal choice, as a goal - and was mentioned in the opening paragraph.
That's right! What if you chose as your # 1 goal (call it what you will) in life to be unconditionally happy - how might things go?
Some people won't get past the starting line on this one because they believe it's just plain silly to make such a choice when faced with their (current) painful reality.
Fine. So be it.
But for those of you who are close to making such a revolutionary choice, what's holding you back?
Might I respectfully suggest you're a teeny weenie bit guilty about the possible consequences?
Just imagine if you commit to being unconditionally happy from now on.
What a life you might lead.
What fun you might have.
How at peace you might be.
And now guilt comes calling!
"Hold on a minute", guilt says.
"Would you choose this selfish happiness OVER the life you have now. Family? The career? The house?"
