Not Setting Goals? I Need More Experience!

Experience in setting goals is a learned skill.

And like all skills, experience comes with practice.

There's a part of you that understands very well how to go about gaining (acquiring) experience.

Consider any big goal you've put off setting because you fear your inexperience will lead only to embarrassing failure:

1. Write down one new skill you associate with that goal.

2. Associate each letter of that skill with a keyword that might help you make progress.

3. What's the simplest action you could take on any one of those keywords?

4. Take it!

Example: You want to successfully Play 18 holes of golf

1. Skill - Putt

2. Professional Unconscious Trial Tournament

3. Actions:

- Get the name and phone number of a pro teacher at your nearest golf clubs.

- Use self hypnosis techniques to program putting ability.

- Ask for trial lessons from a pro teacher.

- Watch (recorded) tournament play or get a DVD and view all putting scenes.

4. Take action on each of the above - one at a time.
